This page started with info from the 2007 OhmyNews Forum.

There has been some real time discussion at Life Bytes on Sidwell Street.

In October 2007 there is a meeting in New York about "Networked Journalism". This term is partly to allow professional journalists to stay in the game as they claim to be citizens just like anyone else.

My guess is that "citizen journalism" may be rare as a combination of editing and distributed writing. It is still not widely understood in the UK as far as I can tell.

There is a potential around Exeter Television. It has some comparison with citizen journalism. So far there are several editied videos on YouTube. The plasma screens around Exeter are just advertising at the moment but discussion continues on how there could be some content.

So my aim will be to use this page as a base for discussion, mostly through links. There is also a Google doc for draft opinions.
